Do you know that most Jewish people in Australia don't feel safe in their own community?
Since October 7th, 2023, there has been a massive increase in acts of hate towards Jewish people.
A small group of us started “Never Again Is Now” because we believed that we had to do whatever we could to stop this hatred of our Jewish friends and fellow-citizens.
From our initial gathering in Sydney, with over 10,000 participating, a national, grassroots movement has developed to push back against this hate.
However, our work is far from done. All around us the social cohesion of Australia is under threat. We need every person of goodwill to join us to work for a country where antisemitism is unthinkable.
The truth of the matter is this: if the Jewish community is safe and free in Australia, then every minority group will be safe and free.
Throughout history, how a society treats its Jewish population is an indicator of how free and safe it is for all people.
The Jewish community of Australia is a tiny minority in our country, only 120,000 people. They have been here since the first fleet, and have made an enormous contribution to our society.
